A new year is the perfect opportunity for a fresh start and what better project to undertake than a beautiful new garden?
There are all sorts of trends that are likely to crop up over the next 12 months or so and doing some groundwork now to investigate the biggest predictions for soft and hard landscaping in 2024 will give you an excellent start and have you fully excited to get going.
Not sure where to begin? Here are just a couple of the upcoming trends that the LW Landscapes team expects to be big news next year. Which of these do you think would work well in your outdoor spaces?
Wildlife gardening
One of the biggest trends is the idea of designing with wildlife and pollinators in mind. Of course, we want to create the perfect garden for ourselves, one we can enjoy throughout the year, but people are fast becoming interested in designing for both people and the planet.
Choosing plants that encourage pollinators is one of the best ways to go about creating a more sustainable space.
Front garden landscaping
Having a beautiful garden at the back of the house is a serious calling card and can add very real value to your property, but we’re starting to see an uptick in interest for landscaping projects at the front of the house, as well.
There are all sorts of creative ways you can help bring this part of the home to life, ensuring you make the most of your property and give it serious curb appeal.
Gothic gardening
Another key trend for 2024 is the idea of gothic-inspired gardens, using different shades of black throughout the space to create something striking and unusual. This could be a great one to look into if you’re keen to come up with something out of the ordinary, something that really gives your friends and family a talking point when they pop by.
