Garden Design Inspiration At Chelsea Flower Show 2026

With the fantastic Chelsea Flower Show 2026 only a matter of weeks away, taking place between May 19th and 23rd, now’s the time to grab some tickets so you can seek out some incredible landscaping design inspiration and ideas.

What to expect at the Chelsea Flower Show 2026

Fibonacci designs

For some true innovation, check out Hadlow College’s garden design, inspired by nature’s own mathematical patterns. The Magic Number exhibit looks at how the Fibonacci sequence appears in nature, from seed arrangements and petals to spirals on shells.

Japanese motifs

The intention behind the Tokonoma Garden – Sanumay no Niwa is to invite reflection and connection, appreciating what traditional beauty has to offer.

Key features here include a traditional stone lantern, a garden gate and a subtle colour scheme inspired by traditional Japanese aesthetics.

Climate resilience

Keen to make your garden more eco-friendly? Make a pit stop off at the A Seed In Time garden, which makes use of traditional crafts like straw bales and reed building to create a central wetland in the space.

The aim of the garden is to show how species abundance, habitat health and biodiversity loss can be improved through the introduction of biodiverse zones.

Australian inspiration

Of particular interest is suburban garden Journey Beyond the Tracks: From Adelaide to Perth, inspired by one of the most epic train routes in Australia that links the cities of Adelaide and Perth.

A reflection of the diverse environments of both South and Western Australia, this would be a great one to check out if you’re keen to do something a little different at home.

The structure of the garden itself reflects the inside of a train carriage and key features include reclaimed timber, low-carbon metals, eco-concrete, stone and aggregate.
