Gearing Up For The BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair!

As wonderful as it is to have the internet at our fingertips when it comes to gardening and landscape design, it’s important to seek inspiration in the real world, as well, and nothing can truly compare to seeing gardens in real life if you’re thinking of revamping your own outdoor spaces in the future.

Luckily, there are all sorts of interesting events going on throughout the year that can help you source new ideas for your gardens at home – and the BBC Gardeners’ World Spring Fair is just one top date to include in your must-visit calendar.

Taking place between May 2nd and 4th at Beaulieu in Hampshire, this year’s event features everything from seasonal gardening tips and daily talks from the likes of Arit Anderson, Carol Klein and Adam Frost to floristry workshops, showcase gardens full of creative ideas, a relaxing Club Lounge, a mushroom-growing masterclass and shopping opportunities galore.

Of course, if it’s design and planting inspiration you’re looking for, then the showcase gardens will likely be at the top of your list of attractions. The college garden competition is also back for the third year in a row, with the 2025 theme set as Nature’s Art within a Garden.

Kingston Maurwood’s Aperture garden, for example, celebrates a dynamic and naturalistic style, featuring a textural path that’s meant to slow you down as you navigate your way through the space, with inspiration taken from artists such as Richard Long and Andy Goldsworthy.

And, of course, Beaulieu’s gardens themselves are ripe for exploring, with walled kitchen gardens, the abbey grounds, the millpond and the woodland walk bursting with ideas you’ll be able to take home with you.

You’re sure to have a wonderful time at this year’s event… what better way to find new and innovative ideas for your own gardens! We’d love to hear what you discover – so get in touch to let us know.
